FIT-IT Award Ceremony | 3rd Prize for RAVEN

Wie hier bereits am 11. Februar angekündigt, fand am 26. Februar die alljährliche Prämierung der besten FIT-IT Projekteinreichungen 2007 im Karl Zeiss Planetarium statt, und auch hier konnten wir mit unserem Projekt RAVEN den dritten Platz in der Kategorie Semantic ‘Systems and Services’ belegen.

On February 26th, the best 2007 FIT-IT Research Proposals
were presented during a festive event at the Zeiss Planetarium of the City of
Vienna. The outstanding projects of last year’s call belong to one of five
programlines: Embedded Systems, Semantic Systems and Services,
Systems on Chip, Visual Computing and Trust in IT Systems. The awards were
presented by Christa Kranzl, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for
Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT).

In the ‘Semantic Systems and Services’ category, the
RAVEN Project (Relation Analysis and Visualization for Evolving Networks) has
been awarded the 3rd prize. RAVEN is a joint effort between MODUL University
Vienna’s Department of New Media Technology, the Vienna University of Economics
and Business Administration, the Know-Center Graz as well as the industry
partners Gentics Software and SmApper Technologies.
